Bazaar.in Buyer Terms and Conditions
Buyer ordering, payment, delivery, cancellation, VMS return and refund terms
1. Parties and Buyer Acceptance
1.1Bazaar.in provides the Platform, including marketplace technology, administration, support, verification and related services. Bazaar.in is not treated as the product seller unless expressly identified as seller of record for a transaction.
1.2References to Bazaar.in, the Platform, we, us or our mean Bazaar.in.
1.3These Terms apply to Buyers. Product sale contracts are ordinarily between the Buyer and the identified Seller. Bazaar.in remains responsible for its own marketplace, payment-facilitation, support and statutory duties.
2. Eligibility and Account
2.1Buyers must be legally competent, provide accurate information, protect credentials and report unauthorized activity. Minors may transact only through a parent or lawful guardian where permitted.
2.2Bazaar.in may restrict fraudulent, automated, duplicate or promotional-abuse accounts after proportionate review.
3. Product Information and Seller Disclosures
3.1The product page should identify the Seller, material characteristics, condition, price, taxes, charges, country of origin, warranty and return eligibility. The Seller is responsible for accuracy, authenticity, safety and mandatory labelling.
3.2Images may be illustrative but cannot conceal a material difference. Open-box, clearance, refurbished, imported and customized products require prominent condition and warranty disclosure.
4. Order Formation, Price and Payment
4.1An order is an offer and is accepted on dispatch or confirmed pickup readiness unless clearly stated otherwise. Bazaar.in may cancel for stock failure, obvious error, failed payment, fraud, illegality, unsafe product or undeliverable address and must communicate the reason.
4.2The final screen must show the total payable amount. Payment authorization may precede acceptance. EMI, gift, coupon and promotion conditions must be accessible. Buyer payment data is handled through authorized providers.
5. Shipping, Delivery and Local Pickup
5.1The order page states the fulfilment method, charges and estimate. Delivery proof may include OTP, signature, photograph, GPS/carrier event or authorized recipient, but credible contrary evidence may be considered.
5.2Risk ordinarily remains with the Seller until successful delivery or verified pickup. Buyers must provide a serviceable address and cooperate with delivery. Buyer-caused failed-delivery deductions must be disclosed, lawful and reasonably evidenced.
6. Cancellation
6.1A Buyer may cancel before dispatch or pickup readiness where the interface permits. Later cancellation depends on feasibility and law. Prepaid cancellations are refunded to the original instrument unless technically impossible.
6.2Partial cancellation must transparently recalculate taxes, discounts, shipping thresholds, rewards and financing.
7. Return Eligibility and VMS
7.1The Video Management System (VMS) is Bazaar.in's controlled system for capturing, uploading, timestamping, storing, integrity-checking, retrieving and reviewing claim videos and related evidence. VMS may associate video evidence with order, catalogue, payment, delivery, pickup, product, packaging, shipping-label, serial/SKU, seller, account and fraud-risk information.
7.2Except where applicable law requires another remedy, returns will be entertained only when a product is received damaged or an incorrect product is delivered. An incorrect product means the product, model, variant, size, colour, quantity or SKU does not match the confirmed order. Change-of-mind, preference, fit, compatibility, accidental post-delivery damage and no-longer-needed claims are not eligible.
7.3No return is approved until VMS records a decision. VMS must record the evidence considered, outcome, reason, responsible reviewer and timestamp. Bazaar.in may request reasonable evidence, arrange pickup or inspection, and use manual review. The absence of one evidence type, including an unboxing video, will not by itself defeat a remedy required by law.
7.4The Buyer and Seller will receive the decision and a reason for rejection. Either may request grievance review within the stated period. Fraudulent, altered, swapped, unrelated or serial-mismatched returns may be rejected and may lead to account restriction, recovery and lawful reporting.
7.5The ordinary claim window is twenty-four (24) hours from delivery or pickup, unless a longer product-specific period or mandatory right applies. Latent safety, warranty or statutory issues must be assessed according to applicable law and the disclosed warranty.
8. Replacement and Refund
8.1After VMS approval, Bazaar.in may arrange pickup and authorize replacement or refund according to stock, product promise and law. A replacement should match the confirmed product unless the Buyer accepts an alternative.
8.2Bazaar.in will ordinarily initiate an approved refund within five (5) to seven (7) Business Days after the applicable approval, cancellation or returned-item verification event. Provider posting time is additional. Refund status and components must be itemized.
9. Buyer Conduct, Reviews and Fraud
9.1Buyers must not submit false claims, manipulate reviews, misuse promotions, threaten Sellers or support staff, share prohibited content or attempt chargeback and refund double recovery.
9.2Reviews must reflect genuine experience. Incentives must be disclosed. Bazaar.in may moderate content with reason and appeal where appropriate.
10. Privacy, Support and Statutory Rights
10.1Buyer data is processed under the Privacy Policy. Sellers may use it only for fulfilment, support, VMS cooperation and legal duties.
10.2Nothing in these Terms limits rights under applicable consumer, product-safety, payment or privacy law. Buyers may use Bazaar.in's grievance process and any mandatory legal forum.
11. Liability, Force Majeure and Disputes
11.1Each party is liable for its own acts and omissions. Lawful limitations do not cover fraud, wilful misconduct or non-excludable duties. Force majeure excuses only performance actually prevented and requires notice and mitigation.
11.2Indian law governs. Consumer remedies and forums remain available. Any voluntary arbitration must use a neutral appointment process.
